Ramraksha (रामरक्षा)

Here is a dark & faint blue Chhattisgarh tussar silk saree, Ramraksha. Chhattisgarh tussar silk is a very unique fabric itself. It looks and feels like a shawl. Such a soft, warm and light weight feeling it gives. Even young ladies can wear it effortlessly. Ramraksha has two different shades of the blue. The design of the pallu has a story of the epic saga, Ramayana. There are some paintings inspired the Lord Rama’s life. We can see the bhakt Hanuman carrying his lord Ram on his shoulders and Lord Ram is seen smiling.
The entire color scheme of paintings and embroidery is absolutely soothing to the eyes. The embroidery is done with the mirror work and blackish threads. There are two lines from the ancient stotra ‘Ramrakhsa’ adorning on the pallu.
