Introducing the captivating “Sanskrutaa” saree, a luxurious blend of mulberry and eri silk, meticulously crafted from the softest silks of Assam. This exquisite creation is complemented by an Ajrakh modal silk hand-embroidered blouse piece, offering a unique and harmonious combination of textures. The “Sanskrutaa” saree pays homage to SNDT Women’s University’s slogan “संस्कृता स्त्री पराशक्ति,” celebrating the empowered woman through a seamless blend of tradition and heritage. The saree beautifully blends traditional craftsmanship and architectural inspirations from the Hoysala temples of Karnataka.At the topmost corner, a stone wheel motif reminiscent of the Amruteshvara Temple showcases intricate craftsmanship and Hoysala architectural greatness. Moving down, the Kirtimukha sculpture depicts a fierce monster face with huge fangs and a gaping mouth, symbolizing reabsorption at entrance, adorns the fabric with its fierce depiction inspired by temple adornments.On the rightmost edge, the Chennakeshava Temple inspires delicate motifs featuring Madanikas and a corner pillar adorned with a lion atop an elephant, embodying Hoysala Empire’s brilliance.The centerpiece draws from the Bucheshwara Temple in Koravangala, presenting a dwikuta layout dedicated to Lord Shiva, featuring Surya and stunning carvings of Shiva and Vishnu.The saree’s weaving technique mirrors the temple’s intricate details, with Tana and Bana from different threads, creating a unique texture.
