Shyama (श्यामा)

Here is a pure cotton grey colour patteda achhu saree. This is a speciality of North Karnataka. The design on the pallu is inspired by the Hoysala architect. Rati, the goddess of love is riding a chariot. And the elephants, horses are there as a symbol of power and wealth. The whole painting is giving an impression of a white chalk work.
