Shreepriya

The Angkor wat temple was originally constructed in Combodia as a Hindu temple dedicated to the Lord Vishnu for the Khmer Empire by King Suryavarman II, it was gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the 12th century; as such, it is also described as a “Hindu-Buddhist” temple.

There are 1,200 square meters of carved bas reliefs at Angkor Wat, representing eight different Hindu stories. Perhaps the most important narrative represented at Angkor Wat is the Churning of the Ocean of Milk(Samudra Manthan) which depicts a story about the beginning of time and the creation of the universe.

Designers at the house of Rajasee sarees had a thought to paint the various mudras of Lord Vishnu. So this very precious ‘Shreepriya’ saree has an amazing pallu on which many Vishnu mudras, along with some beautiful motifs and pillars paintings are designed inspired from the Angkor wat temple.

Shreepriya is a lovely blue and black tussar silk saree. There is an important fact to share with you all, why the Angkor wat motifs are precious to us. The logo of the Rajasee saree has a great combination of few Angkor sculptures. Specifically the Mayur (Pecock) is our inspiration. All we can say, Shreepriya is an exclusive saree from Rajasee sarees.

Our very beautiful and talented well-wisher Mrs.Manisha Waghela is  definitely a proud owner of this saree.
